Santa Mariana Futsal Association
The Santa Mariana Futsal Association was born from the passion of a group of friends who, dissatisfied with the negative results of the city's teams in competitions across the state, decided to unite and create an entity that could take care of futsal in the municipality.
Thus, on March 1, 2021, Adriano Shiraishi (President), and the other members of the board signed the minutes that created the Santa Mariana Futsal Association.
With the support of the Municipal Executive, Legislative, Businessmen and the community in general, the people of Mariana won the Santa Mariana Futsal.
HISTORY OF SANTA MARIANA
In 1934, a small village was formed on land belonging to Mr. Francisco Junqueira, which was frequently visited by outsiders from different backgrounds due to the good quality of the land. On October 20, 1938, the creation of the District of Santa Mariana was decreed by State Law No. 7,573, which dismembered the territory of the Municipality of Bandeirantes.
The District of Santa Mariana became a Municipality on October 11, 1947, by State Law No. 02, and its headquarters were established on November 1 of the same year. This occurred due to the great development of coffee cultivation in the region.
In honor of Mrs. Mariana Junqueira, wife of Doctor Francisco Junqueira, the community was named Santa Mariana, because he was the first owner of the land where the Municipality was established.
Santa Mariana had its District created by Law No. 4,667 on December 19, 1962 and its installation on December 15, 1967, together with the Judicial Districts of Quinzópolis and Panema.
